Victoria "Vicky Love" Franklin is the author of A More Inclusive Academia and Me The People a Social Justice Photography Book.
Vicky is the founder of Dear Music. Dear Music is a STEAM advocacy organization that utilize the arts as a tool for social change. Vicky is a Professional Member of the National Society of Black Engineers, WISE (Women in Science and Engineering), Alumni Fellow of the Urban Leaders Fellowship-Nashville Cohort, Teach For America and City of Memphis.
For her dedication to community service, Vicky was awarded the 2019 State of Downtown Memphis Vision Award for the Beale Street Artcrawl Festival. She also made history by being the first ever to host an Arts Festival on America's most iconic street "Beale Street."
Vicky is an Alumni of Tennessee State University where she obtained her Professional Science Masters in Applied Geospatial Information Systems from the College of Agricultural, Human & Natural Science and her Bachelor of Science in Urban Studies with a minor in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the College of Public Service & Urban Affairs. She received her Associate of Applied Science in Health Information Technology from Daymar College and a Certificate of Completion as an Electrocardiograph Technician from Nashville General Hospital. She is currently pursuing her Doctoral Degree.
She is also a Public Notary (State Official), Geospatial Engineer, University Instructor and K-12th substitute teacher, poet, creative writer, singer, mentor, volunteer, networker, entrepreneur, event promoter, lover of the arts, an advocate for STEAM education, STEAM careers, entrepreneurship and small business.
Most of all, Vicky is the daughter of Charles and Mae Francis Franklin. The granddaughter of Deacon Melvin and Mattie Franklin and Rev. Willie and Pearline Lee. The sister of Regina, Darren, Tasha, Maceo, Cintoria, and Lenora. The Aunt of OVER 30 nieces and nephews. The daughter of GOD and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. A loyal friend and a dedicated community supporter!!!
